MILLIMETRI4 is an artisan workshop where ideas and designs are created, looking with fresh eyes at Piasentina stone as the focus of innovation, research, quality and design.Located in Faedis, in the heart of the Piasentina processing district, the firm was established as a spin-off from a historic company extracting and processing stone from its own quarries.
Using a revolutionary cutting technique, the Piasentina stone is sliced into ultra-slim, lightweight sheets, suitable for dry assembly and for furniture finishes, harnessing the unexpressed potential of this eclectic, versatile and highly contemporary material.
FABBRO ARREDI is a second-generation family business that manufactures the finest quality custom-made furniture and furnishing accessories, exclusively for a client or in limited series, crafted using the highest standards and feature exceptionally sophisticated shapes and materials. The company offers innovative, personalized furnishing solutions, meeting the specific needs of designers, architects and other companies in the industry. The entire production cycle takes place within the FABBRO ARREDI workshop, from analyzing the project to creating the final working drawings, from cutting to varnishing and assembly. Professionals with various skills work in synergy using traditional machines, computer numerical control machines with three axes and five axes and laser scanner 3D.

The manufacturing of DOI begins in a quarry in the Valli del Natisone where millimetri4’s master artisans use their skilled hands and eyes to select the best block of Piasentina stone, which is transported to the workshop to be cut and shaped to specifications. Then it is delivered to Fabbro Arredi’s production department. Here an innovative 3D scanner detects the stone’s natural, irregular surface. The design department then processes the information and communicates the results to the workshop where a five-axis machining centre carves the wood surface in order to create an exact, three-dimensional negative. Fabbro Arredi subsequently creates the two volumes that make up the small table which then returns to the millimetri4 workshop for the final step. DOI is covered with a very thin slab of Piasentina stone, with a thinness (4 millimeters) never before achieved, thanks to a special, avant-garde cutting technique.
A pure, stereometric form that opens into two complementary elements, revealing on the inside their multifaceted nature.
DOI is a unique piece, made to measure, with customizable finishes and woods.
Both elements contain a pull-out drawer and sit on four wheels, making them easy to move.
Each piece is numbered and certified.
